We have just heard from the new organisers that because of COVID 19 the exhibition planned for October 2020 will unfortunately not be going ahead. A revised date will be notified as soon as possible.

After twelve years running the annual art exhibition in Great Bowden, the Great Bowden Visual Arts team of Kay, Paul, Karen, Liz and James have now passed the baton into the capable hands of artists Frank Bingley, Jane Fawcett, Jo Owen and Cat Buxton. Please give them your full support!

The date of this year's exhibition has already been agreed - the weekend of 19-20 October 2019, to be held in Great Bowden village hall as usual.

Watch this space for further developments and information.

The Great Bowden Visual Arts Committee is in the process of planning a variety of workshops for local artists to attend. We will let you know soon what we have in store!

Once again we had a terrific variety of work on display, by 35 different artists, and over 220 people came through the doors over the two days of the exhibition. Also, thanks to Fay Hooper, we again included a fabulous show of work by pupils of Great Bowden Academy. The colourful and imaginative display was much appreciated by all our visitors - and many wanted to vote for the work as their 'People's Choice!

The People's Choice winner this year was Ruth Rappitt with 'Photo Stop' (see People's Choice page). 'Mr H' by Kevin Walker was second, and Malcolm Shellard's 'Chickens in a Barn' came third. Many congratulations to all three. Five works of art were sold during the exhibition, so well done to those artists too!
